Unfortunately, the funds to keep a free service like Cerebro are non existant at this time, so in 15 days times, Cerebro will officially shut down for good. We recommend using Apple’s Find My iPhone service, which in integrated into the newest iPhones.

As many of you know, Cerebro 1.1 does not work well with iOS 4, and instead of trying to fix it, we have decided to just continue with Cerebro 2.0. Today, I would like to announce to you Cerebro for iOS 4 beta. The beta will go live on Cydia (bigboss) friday at midnight. This is a beta, but it appears to be more stable then Cerebro 1.1.
Cerebro 2 will also work on iOS 4 devices that are not jailbroken, so if you don’t want to take the risk of Jailbreaking, we will have an option for you to buy a copy of Cerebro, however, it won’t be through the app store since it will never get approved.
I will also post another update when the beta launches with screenshots.

UpscaleRiver Updates

I just wanted to give everybody an update on what is happening with everything happening here. I will just get into it.
Cerebro 1.3 and Cerebro 2.0
We are working on both simultaneously. Cerebro 1.3 is full of bug fixes as well as the first release with its server side code open sourced. It will also let you send Cerebro messages from your own servers.
Cerebro 2.0 has a ton of really insanely cool features that will probably make your jaw drop, but that will come at a later date (sorry for the tease).
Buy or Trash
We are still working on making Buy or Trash a more widespread application. We would like to build a community for it, and we will be releasing a lite version in the near future.

Cerebro 1.1
February 3rd, 2010Cerebro 1.1 has been submitted to the bigboss repository. This update fixes battery issues as well as the login issue. Because of the huge response we got to the app in such a short term, our servers have been slammed non-stop so we have added a neat little feature called “push update” which should decrease the load on our servers. Currently, we have to shut down the push recording database because it has been hit too hard. It will be up again by tomorrow at midnight.
If you feel angered about this, just remember that Cerebro is a free service and we would like to keep it free in the future by smart code instead of huge costly servers, but smart code may take some time to develop. We have been blessed with many comments from users and we will keep developing for this project.

January 31st, 2010Cerebro is the newest iPhone application from UpscaleRiver, exclusively for iPhone users who jailbreak their phone. Cerebro is available via the BigBoss repository which is preinstalled on Cydia, Iccy and the Rock.
What is Cerebro?
Cerebro is an iPhone application that sits in the background and tracks an iPhone or iPod Touch incase it is stolen. There is no need for the thief to open any fake applications, because Cerebro automatically wakes the phone up from sleep mode or even a power off. Cerebro is also perfect for parents keeping an eye on their kids, having a simple, easy to use web interface at iFindMyiPhone goes a long way, and can let parents worry just a little bit less.

January 26th, 2010New from Chris Alvares comes the next hottest iPhone Application known as Passion.
What is Passion?
Ever wondered if how well you compared to other people during sex, well now you can with Passion. This iPhone application measures how well you perform during sex, and gives you a rating from 0 to 10, 10 being the highest. Then you can go online and see how well you did against the rest of the world.
How it works?
Passion works by using all of the iPhone’s distinct features such as the microphone, accelerometer and many others to determine an accurate score. All you have to do is start the application, put your iPhone on the bed, in an arm band, or even in your pocket and have intercourse, it is as easy as that. Once you are finished, press the stop button and view your results.
Compatibility
1) Passion requires an internet connection the first time you use the application and when submitting scores.
2) iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS supported. No iPod touch support at this time.
